Takaboshi Maintains Dominance in National Class

Fuji Speedway, July 14: Though the grids may not be as big as one might hope (13 cars split across two classes) the competition in the All-Japan F3 Championship is nevertheless fierce. While most attention is paid to the Champion class and its Dallara F312 chassis, campaigned most successfully by TEAM TOM'S, the National class (F306 N) is being utterly dominated by Mitsunori Takaboshi, who until the Fuji round, had scored seven poles, seven fastest laps and seven victories - from the first seven races of the 2013 season!

Lotterer Wins After Loic Takes Pole

Fuji Speedway, July 14: Just weeks after winning his first Le Mans 24 Hours, Loic Duval was back in Super Formula action at Fuji Speedway on July 13-14. Securing pole position (his seventh in the series), the Frenchman looked set for the race win until his pitstop was deemed illegal, and he had to serve a drive-through penalty.

Historic Hybrid Win in Malaysia

Sepang, Malaysia, June 17: The GT300 class reached another milestone at the Sepang round, when not one but both of the new Honda CR-Z machines, fielded by two different teams, ended up locking out the front row of the grid in a dominant display in qualifying. On the grid, the #55 ARTA entry led the #16 MUGEN car off the line.

Lexus Locks Out Fuji 500km SUPER GT Event

Shizuoka, April 29: Round 2 of the 2013 SUPER GT was a runaway success for Toyota's Lexus brand as no fewer than a quartet of its SC430 machines took the top four places in the GT500 class after 110 closely-fought laps round the famous circuit located at the base of Mt. Fuji. Rival manufacturers Nissan and Honda could fare no better than fifth (CALSONIC IMPUL GT-R) and seventh (Round 1 winners, RAYBRIG HSV-010 GT), respectively.

Toyota Takes Control Ahead of 500km Event at Fuji

Shizuoka, April 28: This season's opening round in SUPER GT at Okayama may have been all about Nissan and Honda, but when the most popular spectator sport in the country visited Fuji Speedway over the Golden Week holidays, it was Toyota that asserted itself as a pair of the world's largest volume car maker's SC430s locked out the front row on the grid for the 500km race the following day.
