Takaboshi Maintains Dominance in National Class
Fuji Speedway, July 14: Though the grids may not be as big as one might hope (13 cars split across two classes) the competition in the All-Japan F3 Championship is nevertheless fierce. While most attention is paid to the Champion class and its Dallara F312 chassis, campaigned most successfully by TEAM TOM'S, the National class (F306 N) is being utterly dominated by Mitsunori Takaboshi, who until the Fuji round, had scored seven poles, seven fastest laps and seven victories - from the first seven races of the 2013 season!
Fuji proved to be a challenge for the young hotshoe however, as in Round 8 qualifying the NDDP (Nissan Driver Development Program) driver was pipped to pole by Thai competitor Nanin Indra-Payoong, who went on to take his first victory of the year. Takaboshi was back on top for Round 9, netting pole and another win to resume his dominance of the series' National class.
