British Drivers Make Impressive Debut at Fuji Speedway

Fuji Speedway, August 6: Members of the Nissan Global Driver Exchange programme, British drivers Alex Buncombe and Jann Mardenborough both had their Fuji Speedway christenings on August 6th when they got behind the wheel of the S Road NDDP (Nissan Driver Development Program) Nissan GT-R Nismo GT3.

Impressing team personnel with their pace and professionalism, both drivers immediately passed their rookie tests, before setting blisteringly quick times in the SUPER GT machine. The pair will be back in Japan in November when they pilot the car, similar to the one they race in the Blancpain Endurance Series and FIA GT Series in Europe, in the post-season Fuji Sprint Cup.

The Nissan Global Driver Exchange programme is one that 'opens race car doors around the globe for Nissan racing drivers', enabling them to sample and learn from a variety of different machinery as campaigned by the manufacturer in different markets.
